EUROS Wanted

If you have extra Euros and would like to exchange them for dollars, please message me. I can meet you at any Rec center, home or other location, and I'll pay the going exchange rate. Thanks!

I hope you find some Euros. I have been trying to buy some also but no luck. I think we will just get them once we land in Europe.

Wife and I travel in Europe a lot, and the most economical way to have access to currency is with our Wise Card.
Prefill any currency from your own bank. Minimal ATM charges, and best exchange rate.
Never had a problem anywhere in UK or Europe.
We have had the card for a long time, and top up currencies when exchange rates are are in our favor.
We carry three currencies on our card. US$, GBP, and Euros.

PS. Anyone traveling to UK. Now is a good time to buy GBP.
Lowest £ to$ rate for many years.

FYI, GBP is the abbreviation for British pound sterling. I had to look it up. But, it seems like it should be BPS. Go figure.

A symbol (£) for “pound” or “pounds” is a monetary unit of the United Kingdom. Do I need to look up everything for you Brits?

Where do I find the "pound" key on the keyboard? and where is the "Euro" key?

Ecuadog 09-01-2022 04:35 PM

£ - (Press and hold Alt + 0163)
€ - (Press and hold Alt + 0128)

Thank you Ecuadog. Now I can mind my £'s and €'s. With your help I found out I have to put NumLk key on, press and hold Alt, type in the code on the Num pad, and when I release the Alt key, the symbol is magically there.

Maybe I should have written that the Benjamin's to Quid's exchange rate is very favorable!:icon_wink:

My wife and I vacationed the UK for three weeks this past July. I went with some British Pounds to use for small purchases and much to my surprise nearly every business insisted on customers using their charge cards. They don't want to handle currency. I could count on one hand when I was able to use the GBP. Came home with nearly all the GBPs I took. Just an FYI. And before any says "they can't do that" they did. So if you want to eat sleep and travel, have your charge cards ready and I recommend you use a card that doesn't charge exchange fees.
