Time for the snowbird migration season to begin
 

September is upon us and it’s getting cold up here in the Berkshires. Just closed up the windows and put on a sweatshirt for the first time in a very long while. Temperature is dropping fast and is forecasted to hit 45 degrees later tonight. Time to pull the fishing boat from the lake, take the window A/C unit out for the season, and start the Villages packing pile.

Bring the boat..................A lot of rain down here.

Oh boy. And just when I had gotten used to being able to make tee times!

Even though September is the best month of the year here on Cape Cod, my wife and I can not wait to get back to the Villages in three weeks.

I can't wait to get back to TV and make the year-rounders suffer the inconvenience of my presence.:D

I have a theory. I believe that Snowbirds are the primary cause of Love bugs. We get them when they arrive, and again when they leave. We'll have to commission a paid study :)

There is still time. Not all the executive courses are back up and running.

Gotta like it, they started renovating Riley Grove right when we headed north for the summer and it’s scheduled to reopen when we return. Kind of makes one feel important : )

While we full-timers don't enjoy the added traffic, the businesses love you. So, yes, you are important. Welcome home!

Just got back from five days in Minnesota to attend the state fair...end of August, cold and rainy. No better reminder of (one of many) reasons my wife and I love Florida.

Fair was kinda disappointing though; one of my favorite exhibits, the snake and lizard zoo, was closed. Seems as if they had a reptile dysfunction.

There's a pill for that.
