Wine Dinners

Hi - will be a new resident by next month - Are there any restaurants in TV that host periodic wine pairing dinners - 4 to 5 courses, special menu selected by chef, wine with each course - usually a theme (country, winery, type of cuisine), with a sommelier that introduces each wine pairing, and giving guests the option to purchase any bottle they enjoyed? These types of dinners are so much fun, and very social. If nothing in TV, does anybody know of wine dinners in nearby cities?

There are 4 Court of Masters sommelier’s from Certified to Advanced that live in TV. Have been to private wine dinners hosted by the group. However if you are looking for a experience Disney would be my first choice, with high end food and wine.

You will find wine pairing dinner’s in TV, food will be ok, but the wine choices are usually low end wines. So if you are looking for Duck Horn, Silver Oak, or Cakebread, quality it’s not in a local restaurant.

In Winter Park, the Wine room has high end wine dinners, and over 50 wines by the ounce. So if you want to try Opus it’s available. If you sign up on their site you will get notified of events, but be quick they fill fast, Due to over 500 sommelier’s that live in Florida.

Carrabba's has a good one. Get on their mailing list.

Carrabba's has monthly wine dinners which we go to occasionally. They do not sell the wine and yes they do have theme dinners.

RedSauce has a pretty good wine dinner but I do not think they offer them in the winter months. Some interesting menus and wine pairings. They do offer their dinner wines for purchase.

Rose Plantation will offer wine dinners but have not tried theirs.

Katya Vineyards in Ocala does offer wine dinners. But while we like that restaurant we have not been to a wine dinner there. Next one is Oct 16th, 7 course wine dinner at $225pp
