Anyone have any experience with this knee pain alternative?

Thanks.

Proceed with caution and realistic expectations. Results of healing damaged cartilage is spotty and temporary at best. It buys the lucky some time before ultimately needing a replacement. And forget about it if the knee is bone on bone, there is no cartilage to heal. Many years of skiing moguls, water skiing, and playing basketball trashed all my knee cartilage.

I used them on my knee. Covered all but about $150 with Medicare. Oddly, my supplemental (Tricare for Life) paid nothing - not approved. 5 months after the procedure the knee is about 80% better than it was.

WAY better and easier than a replacement.

Thanks.

I had a total knee replacement about 3 years ago. Much diddling around first with cortisone, orthoscopic surgery, etc., but after about a year of of hobbling Doc finally said it could be replaced. Interesting...he said that anything short of total replacement in cases like mine (severe arthritis, shredded cartilage) is a band-aid, but the insurance mandates that total replacement surgery can take place only after the band-aids have been tried and have failed.

I too have had a total knee replacement.
I can only say if your knee is bone on bone, anything but replacement is window dressing.
When all cartilage is gone nothing will bring it back.
Cortisone, steroids etc may give temp. relief, but only delay the surgery.
It is not pleasant for a while after surgery, but so worth the mobility it gives you back.
Get it sorted sooner rather than later.
JMTC!
