Check your faucet screens
 

You would be amazed what kind of junk is captured in the tap when you turn on the water, just unscrew the little valve at the end of the tap to clean out.
I even found a little small piece of wire in one.

I've been trying to get the aerator out of our kitchen faucet. The plumber who came out to do some warranty work for us said I need a key, which he didn't have with him and didn't know where I could buy one. He's supposed to bring a key with him when he returns to complete our repairs. I hope so. I want to install a faucet filter and need to get that little screen out.

I had to put my filter on laundry room sink because of the type of faucet in Kitchen, I can't add filter there. Good luck with getting your key.

Thanks Miki. I checked on-line and the key is available but they're supposed to come with the faucet. I guess when they installed the faucet they toss the key out with the paperwork. I'll bug them a little and if they don't get me one I'll buy one.
