Wine bottle corks
 

I know that there any number of our neighbors that use wine bottle corks to make all sorts of wonderful and useful doodads.

I had a couple of friends over for dinner the other night and served them wine and am now in possession of several hundred corks....just kidding about the other night, but I do have several hundred wine bottle corks that I will glad give away. Where do you live?
I don't want the corks, it just seems like your house is a place I need to hang out.

Driving around last Christmas season we came upon a house with a tree in the front yard entirely decorated by empty wine bottles! Blue, as I recall. Had to have been 40 at least.

I always use wine bottle corks on the top of bamboo support canes in garden.
Much better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!
