building permit

Where can I find if a building permit was issued for a new roof in Sumter County? I thought it used to show on the property appraiser's page, but I can't find it.

Thanks for any replies.

Not sure you need a building permit, it is a repair. If, they damaged your property, you need to sue the homeowner and they then need to go after the contractor they hired.

If, you are looking to buy the property, the seller will have paperwork proving warranty etc.

Thank you, but I do not need a building permit.

I am trying to find a permit that was issued for a new roof in 2017.

They are very friendly and helpful on the phone and at the service center on Powell Rd.

I think they changed the software to look up on line and the old info did not transfer. (Not confirmed)

You do need a building permit to replace your roof.
