Talk of The Villages Florida - America's Friendliest Hometown

I arrived into TV on Saturday, after my 5 months in Upstate NY, and a long drive down. 1200 miles, two motel nights. One room was pretty bad, the other room was pretty nice, but I didn't sleep great either night.

Traffic was generally OK, but got a little crazy as I got close to TV, so.....

So.....I have to admit I was a little grumpy Sunday AM. My back was cranky from the car hours, and my first job Sunday was to go grocery shopping. I wasn't ready to break anything, but I was not my usual cheery self. While in the Walmart Grocery near Colony Plaza, people kept smiling at me, and being courteous, and saying "good morning"....And it started to dawn on me what was going on....

Then in the afternoon after I got some stuff done around the house I sat on the front porch sipping an adult beverage, and people who I don't know, walking and driving carts were smiling and waving...

It's nice to be back in America's Friendliest Hometown....I'm starting to feel friendly myself.
