COVID Case Update

As most Villagers know, The Villages spans through three different counties. Here are the number of new COVID cases as of Oct. 26, according to the CDC website. In Lake County, there have been about 51 new cases over the last week. About four of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and no deaths

COVID ain't going no where, but 90% of us are, going on with life and not fixated with this, never even crosses my mind till someone has to.....

Who cares about this anymore? Didn’t care much about this over 2 years ago, I care much less than that now.

TeresaE 10-27-2022 05:28 AM

Please stop this. It serves no purpose.

You obviously didn't loose anyone to Covid or you would think differently. I loss 5 people including my Father. It is NOT funny nor something to be taken lightly!

Over 1,060,000 Americans have died from COVID and you don’t care? Shame on you.

MonkeyPox

Can someone post the Villages cases of monkey pox, along with fatalities, broken down by the closest town square in the Villages (America's friendliest home town).

Do we know why it is called "Monkey" pox?

Is there a vaccine being made to combat this?

1. Not me. Although, when it kills 500,000 Americans in a year those stats might become available.

2. Yes. Google is your friend

3. Already been done. (See comment above re: Google)

If a person doesn’t care about Covid at ALL! What is the driving force for that person to respond on this thread?

Is it to belittle those who still care? I know you have every rite to respond to every post but why this one when all your reply can do is influence someone to back off being careful when they shouldn’t. Just wondering is all. Carry on.

As of 10/24/2022, the worldwide population dying of the virus was 1.036%. So this was 6.58 million people. Smoking kills 8 million per year, and that includes second hand smoke. Just some stats to mull over. Have a nice day.

A lot of people are coming back from cruises with Covid, so I wouldn't expect the numbers here in The Villages to go down. Almost every person I know who has been on a cruise has gotten it. Thanks to the vaccine, though, they say it is like a bad cold/flu. I personally don't want to catch it and risk getting long Covid. I have two friends who got that. One never regained his sense of smell, lost 10 pounds because he can't taste food. The other friend suffers mental issues, brain fog, that was never there before. And this is 2 years later. Sad.

Fake Stats!

These are all Fake Statistics. This site really has no idea how many cases are in the various counties. I and a few neighbors all had Covid in Sept. Not one of us went to a doc or reported the case to the health dept. We used the free home tests the Govnt sent out for diagnosis after exhibiting symptoms. How would this site know about our cases???
