Streetrod mechanic
My Streetrod is 10 years old, and until now, I have had no mechanical problems.
However, now the fuel pump, fuel line, carburetor or something is not letting gas get to the engine, It purrs and purrs but the engine doesn't fire. Should I take it to the Streetrod shop or does anyone have a suggestion as to a mechanic that can handle that? |
If you know what golf cart the street rod was based on, then you could possibly go to that service person, HOWEVER, i have tried to help 2 other people with Streetrod golf carts and both times ran into CUSTOM parts that I could not find, which would force you to the Streetrod distributor.
IMHO, I would call around to the mobile golfcart services and see if any are willing to look at your cart. |
*********, Michael, took care of my Streetrod. 352-433-5411.

Thank you
Thank you for the replies. I took it to Streetrod and was pleased with the service and cost. Only thing was, I had to pay $60 to have it put on a truck and delivered to them. I was able to drive it home.

Thank you for the feedback and final resolution.
As for the special parts, one was an accelerator to electrical position sensor, for an electric cart. This item appeared to be unique to the cart manufacturer in California. The other one was a very unusual (IMHO) wiring harness and electrical interface to get the flashing turn signals. I never found the manufacturer of the electronics or the wiring harness, gave up on the repair. |
