Flag display

Am I missing it or is there no flag pole to display the Stars and Stripes in the BROWNWOOD SQUARE?

Flag

Thinking about it, can't recall seeing a flag in any of the squares, per se.

 Spanish Springs - Very large flag at beginning of Main St. where you turn off 441/27.

Lake Sumter Landing - between Radio station and Haagen Dazs.

Don't go to Brownwood, so don't know answer.

How will you know what country you are in without a reminder? Why do you think there should be one? Should there be flag poles of lesser height to honor the countries of our fellow Villagers from Canada, UK, Mexico, Philippines, Korea etc? Maybe a few Florida flags and certainly we might consider a Sumter county flag as that is the government actually picking up a chunk of the cost of the entertainment. And a flag for each branch of the military and a rainbow flag honoring our sexual identity diversity, and both a black lives matter and a blue one too.

And they should start each concert with a rousing rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, and after a break maybe throw in the Kate Smith version of God Bless America.

Yes I jest, sort of. But I don't need to see a flag at every venue to be a patriot or to believe in the best version of America.

With so many illegals in this country, an American flag should fly everywhere to let them know where they are.
And YES, God Bless America!

There is only one flag that identifies the USA.....all the inclusion dialogue of the day does not apply in the same intent.

The Stars and Stripes, the only flag that represents us all.

I’m all for American flag and military flags to honor this country and those who gave up so much so you could live the good life. Star spangled banner would just be a bonus!
And none of this is meant in jest.

Not that I eat at McDonalds very often, but I won't eat at the one in Magnolia Plaza. They'll fly their corporate flag but not the American Flag. PCness gone too far.

You are absolutely correct, thank you.

 After thinking about it, there is one by the front door at SHOOTERS WORLD that I see going in and out. Not in square but close.
