Green streak across the sky @ 8:57 PM.
 

This was a green streak across the sky but rather low to the ground tonight just before 9 PM. Just over the rooftops so to speak. Moving very fast though.

Maybe someone up there is jealous of us Villagers?

This probably have been east of Buena Vista unless it was something else. I was looking East when I saw this.

I will have to check later on if the American Meteor Society American Meteor Society posts anything about something in this area. :posting:

Did your cell pic not show color definition?

It was there only a few seconds. Did not have time to get cell phone out of my pocket, open it, and take photo.

Most likely a scout ship from the Empire.

This was probably travelling at 30,000 miles per hour if not more. Way faster than a speeding bullet.

Someone did see a meteorite here in the Villages but it was today not yesterday and it was white, not green. This was just after midnight.

I did make a report about this fireball which is what I assume I saw. They are certainly very detail specific with their questions on the American Meteor Society website.

Partly right. Phone would have been in hand, but eyes never look up from phone.

I am hoping someone else in this part of Florida saw it. It could have been anywhere from here to the Space Coast. And it was bright light green. Moving very fast.
