Sweet! We have a couple, a very senior couple on my street. They walk very slowly, hand in hand, smiling and laughing with each other. Once she was very active, welcoming and sharing. When I first moved in she came to the door 3 times a day to try to greet me as a new resident… and I thought she was the Avon lady or something and hid in the bathroom from her, until I saw she travelled by golf cart.
These days it’s probably dementia, she doesn’t recognize people, but her husband talks to her just as always, walks with her just as always. I wonder if they still sneak on people’s lawns and leave a Happy Birthday message on the lamp post on their birthday?
