Florida Paints grade

How do i determine which grade of Florida paints was used on my new CYV? I got the color from the spec sheet but it doesn”t list the grade or sheen, just color. I want to match an existing wall.

If you have the original paint code Sherwin Williams will be able to match your color and sheen. If you do not have this information, they can look up your original paint code from your address or lot ID. Not sure if Florida Paints can do this. In any case all of the houses in our area just south of 466a appear to have a FLAT sheen (or finish).

I have heard that this Florida Paint store can match your paint with your house unit and lot number.

They did a great job of matching the paint T&D used on our pool deck. They are behind Culver’s and have a very helpful staff. Good luck.

You ask a great question. Knowing the paint code tells you nothing of the paint quality. I was a formulator years ago for Pratt & Lambert Paints (now owned by Sherwin Williams). Every paint/coatings company has a "Good", "Better", "Best" product line.

I bought the Florida Paints "Villages White" to do some trim and for an accent wall I just did and the paint in the can after it was shaken had the consistency of whole milk. I'd use the highest grade Sherwin Williams if they can match the color. I will say the folks in the Florida Paints store were very nice, I just don't think much of the product
