Lawn Aeration?

Hi, I'm sure there have been many posts on who does lawn aeration, but couldn't find any. Anyone know anyone who does this service, and not cost a lot?
Thank you

We have a family of sand hill cranes that has been aerating our lawn for us at no charge.

I don't believe aeration is needed here. Sand base under the grass. Expert comments to follow.....

Thank you all for the replies and thoughts on the subject.

Massey Landscape Service will aerate your lawn. I believe the cost is $55. Their phone number is 352-706-0286.

Definitely the greens. Not sure about the fairways...

But I do remember seeing some of the Tee-boxes that were aerated...

Aeration is for heavy soils, or grass areas with a heavy footfall, or compression from machinery used on it, on a regular basis.
Your normal Florida sandy soiled grass yard should not require it.

Dig a 12" deep hole.. if it is clayey, the punch holes, if it is very sandy, dethatch, but only if zoysia.

Personally I find aeration a necessity. Having worked at golf courses throughout Florida everyone of them aerates the fairways.

Golf courses have topsoil.. no topsoil at all at Village homes.
