looking for cigar smokers

I enjoy a occasional cigar. I smoke on my front porch with no complaints, but I'm not a weekly smoker.
Anyone interested in a group getting together at a rec center with a firepit for a smoke & drink / snacks?
We would have to make plans in advance to get the firepit. If we did it after 5 there shouldn't be many people around to offend. We could move monthly to a new rec center.

If I didn't have COPD from being a lifelong ciggy & cee gar smoker I'd join you for sure. I overused my enjoyment to early in life and my smoking days are snuffed out! Damn!

I wish you luck getting a little gang together.

Heh. LSL is pretty redolent of cigar smoke most nights. If you're looking for some fellow indulgers just situate yourself downwind and follow the smoke.

Good luck though. I used to enjoy a good cigar when a (relatively) good cigar could be purchased at retail for maybe a buck fifty, though in truth most of my cigar puffing was of the Muriel Corona variety, at about a dime a pop. But back then it was not considered a sign of extreme virtue to cough and gag and fan the air whenever a whiff of cigar smoke came your way.

I'd consider joining you but both my cardiologist and my wife might have something to say about that. But best wishes, and favorable winds!

I'm a snowflake?? (rent my house out in the winter and come down several weeks a year). I love a smoke when I golf or sit back of my brother in law house. I'm in Hadley and would love to "hang" once in awhile to enjoy a smoke. Can you put me on a list so I know when meeting will occur? great idea.

There is a group of 10 or 12 guys who smoke cigars and drink beer on the Havana CC porch on a weekly basis. I think it is during happy hour early in the week (Tuesday or so?). I don't have any other details, but the restaurant would know.

Have you tried Garvino’s in Lake Sumter?
It has a room for cigar smokers where the air gets sucked out so you don’t really smell the cigar smoke. It has comfortable leather chairs. It’s a bar too. So you can buy a drink and snacks.
I believe you can bring your own cigars but they also sell cigars there.
Only issue…..it might be more pricey than what you are interested in. But, if you stop in, you will meet other cigar smokers and might find a group interested in what you are doing.
Good luck

When the fish weren't interested in my fly, I loved to sit and smoke a nice cigar, and have a wee dram when fishing.
Now I can't touch either.
Life's a bugger sometimes!

If you use their cigar lounge, they require you to purchase their cigars (which is only fair...)

That said, I'll have to stop by Havana when I'm down in January!

Sure. If you get a group going I would be interested in joining.

I'd be interested, too. Live in the Village of Alhambra, so a golf car ride to First Responders is easy.

Driller703 12-13-2022 01:55 PM
