Spectrum Mobile Cellphone

I currently have AT&T for our talk/text/data. It looks like I could cut my bill in half by going with Spectrum Mobile (we already are using Spectrum for internet and streaming TV). However, on several 'review websites', the Spectrum service is rated extremely low.....often with over 95% of the reviews rating it a 1-out-of-5! If you have Spectrum Mobile service, could you respond with your opinion of the quality of talk/text/data performance, and the quality of customer service?
Thanks!

I switched from Verizon to Spectrum 4 years ago. I have the by gig service for $14/line including voice, text, data. I have exceeded the gig limit when I do a 4 - 6 week road trip but that is my fault, they do have hot spots. But even when we exceed the gig, they are still less expensive then Verizon was. I have never had a loss of service. I would give customer service an A-. Most of the time they are excellent but occasionally have a hiccup but they have always followed up and corrected the issue. They are going though a process to try and combine their cable and mobile customer service and that will cause those hiccups but they will get it worked it out. I also have their triple play and also have been totally satisfied. Having a local office in Trailwinds is also a plus.

JoMar, thanks for your response. However, yours was the ONLY response that I got!!! Is Spectrum Mobile phone service not something that Floridians use? I'm a Wisconsin snowbird, so maybe it's more common up there?

We switched 2 months ago to Spectrum from AT&T and best move ever. Saving $75 a month for 2 phones. Service has been great.

Did you have to switch phones? Or just get your AT&T phones unlocked? Do you know who's towers Spectrum uses? AT&T, Verizon, etc?

If Spectrum mobile is anything like their cable tv service, I would turn around and run.

I cringe at the thought of having to deal with a cable company for phone issues as they are just reselling either Verizon or AT&T.

You can bring your own phone. It just needs to be unlocked and any outstanding balances paid off. I believe that Spectrum Mobile uses the Verizon cell tower system.

I have been using Spectrum internet and Spectrum TV for several years and it's been working just fine for me, in Wisconsin and in Florida.

AT&T was taking days to unlock our phones even though we had a zero balance. We opted to buy new phones rather than wait them out. I think Spectrum uses Verizon towers and we have great service here and while traveling.

I assume their cheap price is temporary for the 1st year. What would that price be and what is the price after that year is up? I've looked and can't locate that information.

We switched from AT&T to Spectrum in March. Best decision ever. Our bill is less than half and service has been excellent. We unlocked our phones online ourselves. They use Verizon cell towers so coverage is excellent, no problems even on a Caribbean cruise.
We also have their cable and internet and no problems whatsoever. A little while back Xfinity customers were complaining about constant outages. We never missed a beat.

If, that is true it is common with so many things. With a one year contract, it works both ways. You are not tied in for two or more years and can explore other options. They all shop what the others are offering and surely know the competition better than we do.

They require no contract !!

Spectrum and Xfinity mobile use Verizon's network. If you liked Verizon, you'll be happy with either except you will pay way less. Trick is you have to use the respective internet service. If you drop the internet, you will pay extra for the mobile...that's it

You get nothing for nothing, Spectrum and Xfinity is deprioritized. In times of congestion, you will take a back seat to Verizon's postpaid customers and that's why it's cheaper.
