I just received my first utility bill. I have a question about the water portion. There is a section that reads SSU Phase 1 Step Rates 0-6000 GAL @ 1.79/1,000 and a section that reads SSU Phase 2 Water Step Rates 0-3000 GAL @ 6.14/1,000. I determined that I am under the Phase 2 Water Step Rates. What exactly is SSU Phase 1 and SSU Phase 2?

It depends on where you live. Go to "districtgov.org" and click on "rate information" at the left, and then click on where you live to get detailed information on your water rates.

Thanks for the information. Looks like Village of Feeney and Desoto pay less than I do here in Richmond. Their rate for 0-6000 gallons is $1.79/1000. My rate for 0-3000 gallons is $6.14/1000. That is a huge difference. Ouch!
