We have a dear friend (70 yr old female) looking for just a room to rent from another female for a month. Any websites for this? Not sure where to look or if this is even possible.

Another option is to rent a room in a hotel, like Comfort Suites in Lady Lake. They have long term discount rates. Free breakfast.

And every one of the people renting the room in their house, while they live there, is violating a couple deed restrictions. But since the violations never seem to be enforced, go for it. Lots of rooms are typically available.

because she doesn't want to do the lifestyle stuff, she wants to experience it at her own pace, who knows maybe gain a friend.

Maybe, Midiwiz, you could try posting your request on Next Door on behalf of your friend and provide some general background info on her.

Hopefully she is an honest lady but in this world who knows.

People actually let strangers live with them?

I used AirBNB when I was first checking out this area. The monthly rate was steep, but that's all I could find. Also used **** on the gulf coast of Florida. She'll want to have parking possibility if she brings her car, or have a golf cart available. There's very limited ways to travel otherwise.

Leesburg's Lee Motel and Candlelight Motel both rent rooms by the hour, day, week, or month for what best suits one's needs. I've never spotted any police activity in their parking lots. Just keep the door locked approaching sunset and pick up some fast food beforehand. Dollar General and Spin City (for self-service laundry) look to be within walking distance if you need any convenience items. Both locations should be easy on the budget.
