Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022) (Possible Spoilers)

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery - Rotten Tomatoes

Found this very entertaining and loved the details as I have in many Daniel Craig movies.

A financial analyst friend of mine said the glass onion was a parody on elon musk. . with his napkin drawings, elon posted one on Linked in once, and his obsequious friends, until the end. . .stealing ideas and passing them off as his, etc. . . stuff not built for normal operations. . .

I didn't go there but I can see how he could. .

Jack Ryan latest, a direct interpretation of Putin in today's world. . . Tom Clancy has a fabulous clandestine story telling skills, and the cinematics are phenomenal . . . . .
however, you can't trust anyone in a Jack Ryan story, you don't know who is a foreign agent and who isn't. .

Sharpe's Eagle - Rotten Tomatoes

I recall Daniel Craig was a villain in this Sean Bean movie which is one of a series of TV films shown on BBC. Sean Bean - Rotten Tomatoes Sharpe's Eagle was one of this first of these movies about the Napoleonic Wars.

I never knew James Bond had a southern accent…

Disappointed

I watched it last night and about 5 minutes into the plot I knew Ed Norton was the villain. He played the same type of character in "The Italian Job" and "The Vault". The unfortunate thing with most of these movies when you see a star-studded cast on any project, the film is usually compensating for the lack of a good script.

Too weird for me!

Watched 45 minutes of it last night. Gave up. Typical ‘Look at us, we are entitled Hollywood stars’. We simply could not take it anymore. Looked at each other and said “do you want to bail?” Both of us nodded.

Everything was over the top. When the first five minutes was with wearing masks, that was an indication of the Far Leftness. And of course ensuring proper ‘ethnic coverage’. Was hoping the storyline and script would evolve well, but typical convoluted Hollywood crap.

It has excellent audience and critic ratings. Both at 93%.

I liked Janelle Monae and Dave Bautista’s performances but that’s about it. Knives Out was so much better. Daniel Craig’s southern accent was so over the top. As was the Kate Hudson character. And I can’t believe Ed Norton said yes to this project.
