PGA Tour, J.J. Spaun & The Villages
1 Attachment(s)
J.J. Spaun finished 5th at the Tournament of Champions in Kapula today.
His Friday outfit made sports headlines, everywhere. Apparently TV has a reputation for golf wear. |
As a Villager I suppose I'm to be deeply offended at a suggestion that I am to be likened to a fit young man, who happens to be an excellent golfer, wearing a shirt not meant to be tucked in, as opposed to say, John Daly's massive gut being restrained by a too tight, yet tastefully tucked in, polo.
Yet, somehow, I'm not. |
Ho hum, snobby golfers.

You edited this because the Golf Digest logo wouldn’t be in the tweet like that.

Just a personal opinion, but one should be more careful about about their assumptions and knowledge, before making unfounded accusations. Golf Twitter's reaction to this tour pro's aggressively untucked shirt was ... mixed | This is the Loop | Golf Digest |
I want to see what the shirt looked like - cant find it online

It was just some random Twitter and even the article says it was “Twitter golf fans reaction” https://twitter.com/outsidethecut/st...hSqhbFBysrBkiw Are we gonna start a thread with every random negative Tweet comment about the Villages now? This comment did not come from any news source. Facts matter. |
Good idea.
It is a trendy look. However, let’s face it. At our age, even pretty fit guys often look better if their shirt is not tucked in, but of appropriate length and tailoring. I think it has become more acceptable as our population gets heavier. The Untukit company has made a business of this.
