Front light pole replacement

Relatively new villager here in CDD2 living in a 23 year old home. My visiting grand puppy wrapped his walker cord around my light pole and took it out. After examination, the base was well rusted, so good thing he did it so it doesn’t become a projectile with the next big wind. So now looking for “villages compliant” light pole vendors and recommendations of local businesses that could do the installation. I’m not a diy person, so appreciate any recommendations on how to have it done correctly (don’t want to run afoul of the ARC) and reasonably quickly. Thanks for your help.

I have had success on various issues contacting The Villages for home construction info and who the original installer was:

I’ve replaced half a dozen of them here in The Villages. It’s a straightforward project, but if you aren’t interested in doing it yourself, any electrician can handle it. Pikes, Lenhart, etc. Electric Supply (Wildwood) carry’s them, as does Home Depot and Lowe’s. If you have a name or address number sign (which you more than likely do) you’ll want one with a “ladder rest”, as that’s what the horizontal bar is called. While you’re at it, install a new dusk to dawn sensor as well.

Good info. Nice to see a straight forward response to the actual question asked.

our home will be repainted in a different color come February. My lights and light post need attention as well. They are black. Is it OK to change them to white? I can call the office but was wondering if any of you know the answer? We are in DeLuna. Thank you!

I used Pikes Electric. Replaced Pole and Sensor, used existing light fixture. Fast and resonable.

Broad questions. I would call the Villages office. My pseudo-name is DAVES. But, DAVES said may get you a laugh if there is an issue-it is not binding and may not be valid.

MY OPINION As you are probably aware, tomorrow 1/15, it is supposed to go below freezing.
February is the coldest month of the year. Paint needs time to dry and then time to cure. If you read the instructions for the paint that will be used-no one does it like likely says best around 70.

Changing colors. We had our home painted two years ago. We were thrilled with the results and the painter. We used Rockholt Painting (Rocky) 603 391 6658 and Sherwin Williams paint. You probably need to cut back plants from the house so it can be painted behind the plant.

Does anyone know if these lamp posts need to be cemented in?
