Pin striping

Anyone know where I can get some pin stripe work done on my golf cart? I don’t want tape I’m looking for someone to hand paint the stripes on my cart. Closest place I can find is over a hour away.

There is a guy named Tim, 814-969-0039, who will come to your house and do pin striping and side molding. But, I don't think he will use paint. I thought that almost all pin striping is taped, even on new vehicles.

You are correct it’s all done with tape mostly. Still some people doing brush work with paint I just can’t find any near The Villages. I can do the tape myself, I used to do it at a collision shop I worked at back in the 90’s
Hand painted IMHO looks so much better.

Sorry, but I think paint pin stripping is now a lost art. I have lace paint on my '66 Mustang, which I painted myself, and I have not seen this since the 70's, and people really like it, also a lost art. The pin strips on this car are painted on, BUT these were done with masking after the first base coat and first clear coat, then 4 more clear coats. Lots of work.

Tape, cheaper and quicker, but lacks the artistic touch.
I’m going to call some local body shops see if someone knows someone still doing pin striping by hand with paint. 66 was a great year for Mustang.

I would call Dee's Graphics and ask her if she can do it, or knows someone who does. Good Luck !

Call a local classic car, or motorcycle club, someone there may know a local pin stripe guy. We had some work done on our '63 C-10 from I guy we met that way. Unfortunately, he's not local.

We were at Sturgis a couple years ago, and there was a guy doing custom pin stripe work on the spot. Daytona Bike Week is coming up in March this year, and perhaps there will be someone there doing the same thing. Finding someone local might be a challenge.

Pin Stripping

Try one of the cruise nights. You can find one almost every night. I know a friend of mine video's some of them. Every Tuesday night he video's the one at Louvon/Target. I'll find out where that one is. 3rd Saturday of every month try asking some people at the car show at Spanish Springs. Also theirs one at Brooksville often and Inverness.
