Sofa disposal

Can anyone tell me the best way to dispose of an old sofa?

If still has a useful life consider donating to one of the thrift stores.
No life left, call trash company for a pickup.

If it is useful, Habitat for Humanity will pick it up

They will take everything. Great people working for free!

Bulk pickup from TV utilities is $10 - no limit to how much you can put out, same price.

just an option, put an ad for a free sofa on craigslist and you'll get plenty of responses

If you don’t want to give to Habitat for Humanity, put ad for free couch on this site and on Nextdoor site.

Yes - get rid of it by dropping it off near the highway somewhere - plenty of company there!!

We had a couch that we thought was beyond useful life. Arranged special pickup. Put it out in the driveway the night before. Within 30 minutes it was gone. So I guess you could go either way. But donation is always good.

Post it on buy nothing there is always people wanting old couches and old everything try it. pass it on to someone that needs it it. would be a shame for it to go to a dump

Sofa Disposal

FYI: I just had a $10 bulk item pickup and was told the limit is five items

A couple of years ago we had a lift recliner that the mechanical part had broken. We called someone to come and haul it away and put it next to our door (outside). It wasn't long someone rang our doorbell (it was a worker of some kind) asking if they could take it. I told them it's broken and he said he didn't care. I said, "have at it!" The called the previous "hauler" to cancel. You just never know here.

If it's still in good shape First Baptist Church in Leesburg will pick it up.
