Can you enter the open areas where the power lines run?
Need to practice some 50 - 75 yard golf shots. Just need an open area. Are these open strips of land off limits or accessible? I did hit some balls in an open area just North of Morse, near the gate from 27/441. But there is a nice open strip of land with the big power line structures real near me....would be perfect. Yes or no??

Probably private property?

You will need to contact the power company that owns the land, and having worked for one up North, they will probably tell you NO due to liability concerns.

Play a pitch and putt course. Work on your putting, too.

What’s wrong with the driving ranges? Are you wanting to practice your chip shots? I agree with VT; probably need to get permission.

Heck, if there is a large opening between two towers and nothing at all around just give it a try. You'll soon find out if it's OK. Might be a benefit of living next to power lines.

... and not a single decent one, anywhere. |
It's definitely electric tower territory when I play De La Vista.

The electric power company usually has an easement to use the portion of land on which its towers and lines sit. However, an easement holder doesn't own the land.
Given public access is granted under power lines in multiple places in the Villages, seems those may be common areas. |
