Indian Food?
 

Does anyone know of a good Indian restaurant nearby? I see lots of other ethnic restaurants, but haven't seen or heard of any Indian restaurants. Thanks.

I have not been to any of them yet but there are a few on rt 200 in Ocala. I think there is also one or two in Leesburg.

The TanDoor located at the Lake Square Mall off Hwy 441 in Leesburg is very good...
The atmosphere as well as the food are authentic. The service can be a little "over attentive" for my comfort at times.... not to discourage anyone however... I think Villagers would appreciate the 2/1 staff/guest ratio. :bowdown:

In Ocala on route 200 across from the Paddock Mall are 2 Indian restaurants, The Amritz Palace and The Bay Leaf. Both are decent, but I prefer the food at Bay Leaf as it is more to my taste for South Indian. The Tandoor in Leesburg is just so-so. Sometimes the food is great, but other times they just miss the mark. More consistency in the Ocala places.

The Tandoor in the Leesburg Mall has an excellent lunch buffet.

Check the construction update in The Daily Sun. One is going in on Bichara Blvd, believe in the spot that formerly housed Seafood Galley...or at least near to it.
