Getting Quotes From 6 Dealers: Opinions / Experiences?

We'll be making a purchase within a week or so. I've already gotten quotes from 2 of these dealers and will continue to make phone calls. We'll move to TV in 5 months and want to have a cart waiting for us.

Below are 6 dealers I found when searching on Yamaha's Dealer Search. Any information good or bad is welcome- Thanks!

Carts and Clubs
Wholesale Golf Carts
Country Village Power
Advantage Golf Cars
Good Guys Golf Carts
Bargain Carts

Looks like you are looking for the least expensive cart? Just buy one that you like, not because it is the lowest price. Best deal might be a private sale.

I always advise that you buy from someone you can take it back too and get redress, if it turns out to be a dog!

If buying a golf cart is anything like buying a car, getting dealers to quote a price on the phone is not going to get you the lowest available price.

Phone quotes are not binding. Get it in writing

Add “The Villages Golf Carts” to your list. May not be the cheapest, but does have advantages if you want to get it serviced or warranty work done; like a free loaner while yours is being worked on or waiting 6 months for it to be delivered after you order it.

The quotes we have were generated on quote form and emailed to us. I then printed them

We plan to buy a new cart. I've read here that The Villages Golf Carts are $Thousands more than dealers outside the TV. So I'm casting a new to see if those 6 dealers may also be lower than the next.

You can buy out of state and have it delivered for much less than buying here. There are a few places in Georgia that will do this...Do a Google search.

Do you want new or refurbished?
The Villages Golf Cars & Clubs & Carts are Yamaha dealers ( new ) The Villages is the largest in the state if not the country. The others may not be new, only refurbished.

Check your facts ........................ I know Carts & Clubs is an authorized dealer, did not check the other dealers.

This is a rookie mistake! Good luck with your cart chase… a reputable dealer is always a wise choice for someone who doesn’t know how to do Golf maintenance…

I've heard this before. I've also heard that local dealers won't provide service on carts not bought from them. I thought that any place that offers manufacture's authorized service was required to do warranty service?

What is a rookie mistake? I'm asking if the dealers I listed are reputable based on what people here know, and their experience. Also, the dealers I got quotes from do service the Yamahas they sell. BTW- I AM a rookie so I'm asking here to get educated.
