Awesome work as always Don documenting and amazing story!

We truly appreciate all you do to keep us informed.

Thank you, Don, for the updates. We like your corner compass as a nice addition on the screen.

You mentioned the golf carts that should not be parked on the grass at Sawgrass. Could the Developer just eliminate that sidewalk and fence in that section so those people cannot walk through? Just a thought.

Don;
Last year's predictions, you were 4 right and 8 wrong. You could be the best weather forecaster in the area...

All the new development is exciting - can’t wait!

If the developer thought parking on the grass was a problem, easy fix. Either
1) eliminate the walkthrough (per the video)
2) put moderately sized rocks along the grass
3) build a curb

Some are quick to think the developer should or could fix or have something more to do with lazy parkers at Sawgrass Grove. The property isn't the developer's, that stretch of grass belongs to CDD13 and is considered common infrastructure, so it falls under the project wide agreement. This means that all of us living south of CR466 get to pay for the damages being done.
The walks through is designed for those walking on the multi-modal paths to enter the Sawgrass market, who would have thought that so many could be so lazy that they couldn't drive their golf carts another hundred yards to the parking lot.
A fence or enhanced landscaping or both are on the way to eliminate the ability to park in this area.

We don't like Sawgrass for either entertainment or food, but we sometimes park there so we can go for a walk or a bike ride. If the golf carts can't park on the grass next to the MMP, they will be whizzing thru the parking lot, endangering people who park their car and walk to Sawgrass. I say let them park on the grass behind the Sawgrass stage.

Thanks for clarifying.

I saw a couple, drive around the parking lot, looking for a spot. After a lap, they drove to the front to park on the grass.
There were plenty of spots on the parking lot, but they were by the rec center - I guess too far to walk.

Still think the walk way could be eliminated, walkers can get to the back from the two entrances.

When is parking on grass ever acceptable? Or always ok for the elites?

Altavia 03-10-2023 07:49 AM

Very interesting that the most southern golf course planned, Shallow Creek should be the next to open.

This is close to Middleton, south of the prison. Wondering when golf cart connectivity will be in place relative to the opening of that course?

Don, we watched off YouTube on our 86” flatscreen. Wow. Simply amazing how they continue on and on. Mind boggling construction expanding TV further…. When will it stop???

When we moved into our newly built house in Gilchrist in 2014 there was semi-serious talk re Buildout. No further expansion South of 44.

Not complaining but the stress on various utilities and roads will compound. Traffic will be tough, esp from non-TV expansion across our borders.

Don, great job as always. Nothing like your birds-eye views and commentary!!!
