Eisenhower Sports Pool
 

This pool has been closed for well over a month with no potential date for reopening. Wondering why.

Eisenhower Recreation Sports Pool

In our efforts to keep the recreation facilities in optimal condition, the Eisenhower Recreation Sports Pool will be closed until further notice. This schedule may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Eisenhower Recreation at 352-674-8390.(emphasis added)

We walked by the pool several weeks ago. The pool was empty of water and all of the tile was stripped off. They were completely resurfacing the pool.

Called the Rec Center for an update and they had no information. All they said is that it has been closed since January, they haven’t been told why it’s been closed, and it will be closed until further notice. Lack of transparency always makes one wonder what’s going on???? Yet the pool schedule is still listed in the weekly Recreation News Publication indicating it’s not closed??? Hmmm, here is guessing whatever is going on is going to cost the PWAC $$$$$ that is going to make the cost of the Brownwood windmill and water tower look like chump change.
