You really need to provide some additional information on the type of work as the hourly rate probably varies. Also, you may get replies from some of the local handymen.

You can expect to pay a handyman at least $50 per hour. But, I think you can get the power washing work done for less money by hiring a professional power washing company who will use their own equipment. Get a few quotes.

If you do hire a handyman, make sure he knows how to do it without spraying water under the eaves and flooding your house.

Or, Chrissy, if you are physically able you might want to youtube how to use the power washer and give it a try yourself. That is what I plan to do. I’ve got good brand new equipment I just don’t know how to use it yet. It was for hubby but he is not here.

I paid $150 to have my house and large birdcage power-washed by pros. They did a great job. This doesn’t need to be done every year.

We have Egner's Exterior House Cleaning, Inc. power wash the exterior of our home, including patio and bird cage every year. They use their own equipment, liquids and because they are specialists, do a great job. They are also very affordably priced. You can call them at 352-728-8537 to obtain an estimate.

be very careful of their mark ups on electrical equipment. A breaker switch that runs about $5, i was charge $50! They do show up on time. Ask what everything cost before you have the work done.

I used to enjoy power washing but have a bum shoulder now and don't do it anymore.
