Prima Italian Steakhouse/ Brownwood

We had lunch at Prima today for our Anniversary.
Hubby had the Veal Parmigiana & I had Filet Mignon, truffle mashed & veggies.
Pinot Grigio was really good.
Finished the meal off with cappucino.

Also took home a piece of Tiramisu.

The food and service were incredible.

Was the dessert free? If they were aware of your anniversary, it should've been/could've been. Prima is one of the best.

Why does dessert have to be free?

It doesn't "have" to be free...

But many restaurants do give it as a perk if they know it's your birthday/anniversary...

When we went to Prima Italiano for my wife's birthday last Fall, there was a box on the on-line reservation site asking if it was a special occasion.

I typed in "My wife's birthday" and there was a "Happy Birthday" sign on our table and they offered a free dessert...

Did I expect it? No. Was it appreciated? Most certainly...

Restaurants often give a free dessert in honor of a customer's birthday, anniversary, etc., if they are aware of the occasion. It's called building customer loyalty.

A free dessert does not cause me to be loyal to restaurant. Good food and service causes loyalty.

On a scale of 1-10, with Peter Lugers being a 10, this place is a 5. JMO of course

Then don't let them know it's your birthday...

Why do you care if they do it for others? It's a nice gesture...

In my opinion, a high quality steakhouse should serve a USDA Prime filet mignon. Filet mignon is the most popular steak ordered at a steakhouse. But, apparently, Prima serves a lower quality steak. I would rather buy a filet mignon at Publix and cook it at home.

Who was comparing it to Peter Lugers? While Peter Lugers is great, Prima Italian has it's own benefits...

1: They take credit cards...

2: You don't have to take out a bank loan to eat there...

How did an Anniversary dinner turn into a discussion about getting a free desert, or comparing it to a Pete Lugars? I also had an excellent experience at Prima’s, along with my girlfriend and her friend…Great service and Top quality food…

I don't trust anything from New Amsterdam.
