Anticipating the new Costco - it’s great being within five minutes of catching the turnpike ramp and shooting down to Clermont for shopping when needed - beats the long, tedious drive to the Spanish Springs area. Looking forward as The Villages continues to develop southward!

Wow ... I though they began construction over a year ago and was ready to open. Guess I thought wrong. Not that much closer for me (just north of 466A) but still better than Orlando. Guess it will be early 2024.

BJ's is already in Clermont.

I work in Clermont 1 day a week and I also prefer driving there than Lady Lake.

The drive from South of 44 to Lady Lake is tedious.

The drive to Clermont, even now, is fairly easy -- either 44/44Bypass/27 or Warm Springs/501/470/27.

I prefer the latter.

Gives perspective given The Villages built three huge education campus since there Costco announcement.

Just what the world doesn’t need, another Costco.

Not excited at all.

It was announced last year that construction was slated to begin in April 2023. Right on schedule.

Meggison is open all the way to 470 and the turnpike entrance.

We’ve gone a few times to the Costco in Wesley Chapel. It’s a straight drive down I-75 and right off the interstate. Lots of nice restaurants for lunch before heading back home.
