Tires

Where is the best place to get golf cart tires in the villages? Didn’t buy it from the villages.

IF you need to get there by golf cart, I cannot help you, if you can take the old tires and wheels to Wildwood tire I believe you will get a good deal.

I saw the post and was wondering the same thing. Several things to add. Do you have alloy wheels? I do. Steel wheels are less subject to damage in mounting new or replacement tires.
I've seen people post that they bought tires mail order and then paid like $20 each to have them mounted. I don't recall where. Car tires, I've used Wildwood Tires and have been very pleased. If, they don't do it I'm sure they will tell you who does.

If, you have a flat, they are tubeless tires. A typical small compressor or hand pump, it will be difficult to establish a seal to the rim. You will end up damaging the rim if you drive on it.
Few of us have a jack to use with our golf cart. I believe Walmart will sell your tires and mount them. So if you can get a jack, put your golf cart on jack stands, one end at a time, that may be an option.

As far as Villager Golf cart. The snow bird rush is over. They give priority to people who bought golf carts from them. You may find them more accommodating now. Price? It is always wise to have options and to pick the best for you..

I don't know anything about golf carts, but it looks like you can buy a set of 4 tires with the wheels included starting at about $200 on Amazon.

Tire Choice is golf cart accessible and reasonable. Not cheap...but reasonable. Call ahead and get a quote over the phone.

I don't know if they have improved, but they have gotten very bad reviews on this website and others.

I've used Tire Choice for my car and my golf cart. When my car kept running low on the driver's side front, they took the tire off, ran it through the water/bubble test, sprayed some gunk on it, and re-mounted it. It was great for a week but then it started running low again. A different tech did the bubble test, and found a tiny hole in the valve stem. He replaced it and re-mounted the tire. It's been fine ever since.

The cost: I tipped the first guy $5 and the second guy $10. There was no charge for either visit.

Brought my car in for an oil change. It uses synthetic, so it was around $60. But there was also a $30 rebate. So a full synthetic oil change set me back $30 (plus tip).

It's been a few years, so I don't know if they have improved. At the Colony Plaza store, they once charged me $40 to repair a flat tire. Another time, the mechanic (not the manager) gave me a verbal quote to replace 2 motor mounts that was more than twice the dealer quote. When I told him that, he immediately offered a lower price. I got the impression that the mechanic was setting prices and working on commission. I haven't been back since, even though they are 5 minutes from my house.

The one I go to is at the corner of 441 and Griffin Avenue, next to El Ranchito.

I've used them (Tire Choice) twice recently and they were OK. I would not go there for anything except tires.

Buy online (for much less) and have Willy Wilcoxen or Todd Casey install at your house.

Andy Robinson has his own mobile golf cart tire repair and service. I've purchased tires from him and reccommend him highly. He also does golf cart suspension repairs. Company is The Tire Guy at 352.434.2254

Battery Boys is not just batteries, and I was pleased with their tire service - they come to you.
