Racoon nest nearby in the yard?

We have to spray our trash with ammonia to be sure the raccoons don't scatter it.
Last night there were a couple of them walking alongside our bird cage driving the dog nuts.

Is there some organization that can be called to trap/remove/other the raccoons?

Maybe this company in Bushnell can help:
Above and Beyond Wildlife
3384 Southwest 52nd Avenue, Bushnell - (352) 568-1355

They are supposed to offer wildlife removal

We had an epidemic of raccoon, gopher, and other furry varmits making a new underworld beneath a home, barn, and warehouse.

one day a customer pulled up and on his van we noticed 'Humane willdlife and pest control"
he gave us a small bottle of 'raccoon eviction' and a couple drops of this liquid is enough to stink up a huge area.
They say to drip it on a tennis ball and drop it in the tunnel

Then we heard about human urine (we can do that up here) and a new one -m a swimming pool concentrated chlorine tab in the hole.

Let us know what works for you.

Simple solution - time to train the dog. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PJAPJ5jMTk[/ame]

They're nasty creatures, these beasties. Last year a woman in Florida was attacked by 5 racoons....

http://www.wtsp.com/news/mostpop/sto...storyid=114730

In addition, they can carry rabies....

http://pinellascounty.org/animalserv...es_control.htm

Please be careful.

Now if more human urine is needed.....let me know, we'll take up a "collection" in the community..... ;)

No raccons here, but Friday morning I went out to get the paper and it looked like someone had dumped 5-6 huge shovels of dirt (sand) in my mulch right outside my door. Too big of a mound for ants. I decided Monday AM would be time for a call to Massey. Lo and behold on Saturday morning a similar pile on the left side. Massey's showed up early this AM - can't do anythying for you - they are gophers - and the pest in our name doesn't mean gophers. So I set down to read morning paper with breakfast and on about page 3 was an add for gopher and mole eradication. By mid morning they arrived and in 2-3 days should have them under control. My Christmas stash is quite a few bucks less, but who wants big mounds of dirt around your yard that you just paid big bucks to get all landscaped up nice and pretty. My next door neighbor said that the lot was full of large mounds like that before they put the house in. We're close to a new gold course with a lot of "wild" areas so can't guess what will be next...... Merry Christmas to all..

For anything else that wanders through the yard I recommend Granny's Beverly Hillbillies Cookbook .

You can also call Animal Controlo in whichever county you live. They can supply a trap. At least they have done this in the past.
