Would you like stamp machines at village postal stations??

Is there a reason why not???

I don't think the U.S. Post Office would place them there because there are no official postal workers, just contractors. You can buy stamps at Publix when you check out.

Cost? We have what, close to a hundred postal stations now? That’s a lot of vending machines. A roll of stamps lasts me more than a year. The machines would never pay for themselves. The Postal Service loses enough money as it is. Why add to it?

stamps by mail

Get our stamps by the roll. Why tempt vandalism with exterior machines with cash in them?

villagetinker 04-25-2023 06:54 PM

I would go for getting from the contract worker, IF THEY HAVE THE TIME, but I do not see any advantage to having machines at the postal stations. There are many places to get stamps, all of the food stores, probably most of the gas stations.

It's easy to buy stamps at supermarket, post office, by mail. The cost and effort to put machines at every postal station in TV is NOT justified.

Once per year I pick up a book at the Publix check out.

I haven't asked at B.J.'s... when we belonged to Costco in So. Fl. we used be to able to buy rolls at a DISCOUNT to the post office face value. Wonder if B.J.'s does that, must ask next trip.

Use to get them thru the ATM at the postal station. Very convenient

MrChip72 04-25-2023 10:32 PM

How many stamps does the average person use in a year? Even a sheet of 10 seems like it could last a year.

We use to be able to buy stamps from the ATM machines at all postal stations. When they stopped doing that I ask the bank why? They just said the stamps would not longer fit in the ATM they were the wrong size. They said I can buy them at the bank drive up window.

I would think so plus you have Winn Dixie and a number of Post Offices around.
