Top Gun: Maverick.
Looks better and better even after the 7th viewing or so.:bigbow:

Here's a trailer. It does lose a lot on a screen smaller than most movie theater screens. Saw it three times at the Old Mill Playhouse. |
Really enjoyed it but did not understand why our enemy had better planes than we did.
|
Enjoyed Maverick BUT similar plot line in the ending of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope: Destruction of the Death Star. It was a one in a million shot and Luke accomplished it.

Maverick
Don't see Tom Cruise movies after finding out some of the things he stands for.

I hate to be a kill joy.
I love the visuals and they get better every year, but it's the same old tired script. Good triumphs over evil or the underdog wins at the end. I don't know what Hollywood could make different, but if you've seen one of these movies you know what the ending is going to be before your second bite of popcorn. |
Never been a big Tom Cruise fan, but Top Gun: Maverick, is easily (in my opinion anyway) his best work. Cruise brings a maturity and a seriousness to the role that just wasn't there in the original Top Gun movie. And the romance between Maverick and Penny Benjamin, two middle-aged folks in real life as well as in the movie, appeals to a much broader audience than the original somewhat vapid fling between Maverick and "Charlie".

I haven't seen it yet, must do that. I'm looking forward to Fast X.

I would finish watching the movie if I could just remember where I was when I fell asleep the first time.
