Matter Smart Devices
 

FYI The new standard cross-platform smart devices with be called Matter.

The good thing is you don't have to have a separate app but be able to use your Apple or Android apps to control functions.

It's uncertain if older smart devices like Nest will work on this platform, so if you are in the market for a smart device, video camera, garage door, thermostat, etc be sure it's a Matter compatible to future-proof yourself.

To me it doesn't "Matter". I personally prefer dedicated apps as they are usually more feature loaded and I rarely use more than a few in any one day and virtually NONE at the same time seconds apart. I don't think any product will become unusable due to it no "Matter" what. Just my opinion which only "Matters" to me. :D
