Does anyone know of someone who will strip the old sealer and put new sealer down on a painted driveway.........thanks

OP, no idea of how old sealer would be removed without damaging the paint underneath. IMHO, you could try calling some of the several vendors that provide driveway sealing and or painting services, and ask if they have ever done this successfully. Then get references so you can verify their solution actually works.
I would expect most will tell you to have the old finish completely removed (sand blasting or grinding), and then have a new finish applied. NOTE: if you have the driveway finish ground off, the painted finish will be very slippery, make sure you get an antiskid (like shark grip) additive on the final coat. When we had this done the person we used (driveways by Jay) used double the amount of shark grip to make sure we did not have a slippery surface.

Go Concrete Designs installed the cobblestone look floor in our lanai. They put the same type of treatment in driveways. When they sealed the floor, they said the sealant would last 5 years at which time they would come back, strip the old sealant and apply new. Unfortunately they went out of business shortly thereafter. I’ve seen their cobblestone driveways where regular sealant has been applied and the finish discolors. I’ve read online about the process used to strip this sealant and it’ll take someone who knows what to do. We’d like to find that company also. We’ll strip the old sealant and replace it with a regular 2 year one.
