Hole in one on pitch and putt

Is a hole in one on a Pitch and Putt news worthy?

Some pitch and putt holes are longer than the front two tees on some executive and championship courses.

I wish they would post the yardage of the alleged Ace.

What next Minature golf hole in ones, they're watering it down.

We already have the big holes like at El Santiago getting hole in one Photo ops.

I don't understand why anyone would care enough about it to start a poll. Why not let a person be happy.

Holes in one are vastly overrated whatever the distance or course.

PS. I have never had one!:grumpy:

21 times a hole-in-one doesn’t count!!

21 times a hole-in-one absolutely doesn't count

Is a poll newsworthy about a hole in one? Or just bored, and too hot to go out

alwann 07-03-2023 09:29 AM

Well, it's newsworthy to the person who made the hole in one, and the Daily Sun likes to make Villagers feel good and doesn't really care what's newsworthy anyhow. Hijacking this thread a bit, I'd like to know when people shoot their age or better, is the score gross or net? Reading that a some 85 year-old breaks 80 is amazing and humbling, if it's a gross score.

I have played with a few fellow Villagers who have broken their age using their actual gross score. It is an extremely impressive thing to accomplish in my opinion and is on my bucket list, although the odds of it happening are very low unless I move up to the senior tees as I age.

“Senior tees”. I think those are called the “friendly tees”.😀

When I first moved here, I thought shooting your age was for the executive courses.

Probably in the minority......................but is any hole-in-one news worthy???

Sorry........I don't think so.

A lucky shot, not NEWS worthy.

I think an eagle on par 5's (assuming from appropriate tees) is more difficult than a hole-in-one.

:ho:

Have to disagree. I've had hundreds of eagles, most of them from the equivalent of the blue, gold and black tees in TV, but only one hole-in-one

I think “hundreds” of eagles is newsworthy.
