Seems to be a new thing offered here in the Villages.

Every time I walk by this comes up.

Someone up there must like me or this is a digital recording triggered by shadows.

Where is this happening? It sounds like someone has a Nest camera/sensor and they haven't figured out how to turn off the audio notification.

That's a motion sensor.

Nearby to us. And it did just start last night. Thought I was hearing voices.

You know. I think the only time I was actually hearing voices was when I was on drugs meant to stop me from hearing voices. Long story. I did take a large package of received letters to the Pinellas Sheriff's Office in person to counter this and interacted a bit with what turned out to be two homicide detectives. Mostly on the phone though. This was back in 2000 (voices) and 2002 or so with my journey to PD headquarters. And this is when I was way too active on AOL with sending out e-mails. AOL shut me down a few times.

That explains it.

It is kind of loud. I can hear it from a few houses down.

I doubt if many aliens would find us all that attractive enough to get involved. A long stretch of very violent and deadly wars, etc.

Maybe if they wanted to serve man like with that TV show.

I have a Ring Doorbell that does the same. It can be turned on or off. It will only activate when someone comes to the front door, and not when someone walks by the front of the house.

The owner probably needs to adjust the one she has. It seems to go off even though I am a good distance from it.

Oh my! I never had that happen to me. I am still getting used to lights shutting off and cars going on my themselves. Ha ha!

We used to hear a similar messge walking past a house on Tarrson blvd. "Hi, you have chosen to be recorded". We thought the camera was hidden in a decorative frog.

I live in Sanibel and there is a nearby house in a cut-de-sac which "threatens" me on a nightly basis. It always makes me laugh. My dogs used to woof but now they laugh too.
