Has anyone had a pool built recently by either Blue Moon Backyard & Pool or Fiesta Pools & willing to share your experience? Thanks!

Try doing a search on this site on both of those names, also call Seniors Against Crime and the BBB to see if there are complaints against these companies. For some reason I think I have seen comments on both recently.

Get an estimate from Premier Pools of Central Florida and Waterman Construction. Two of the best pool companies that service this area with the lowest cost.

Fiesta Pools installed our pool nine years ago. They did an excellent job. We have had no problems with the pool. We use it almost daily 10 months a year.

Has anyone had any experience with Killer Pools they can Share >> I am close to signing.

Blue Moon took over nine months from start to finish on our neighbors' pool.

Couple pools in Richmond are using them, worth taking a drive and speaking with owners. Check with BBB

Our pool is being installed by Fiesta Pools.start day 10/19.

Pool hole dug and dirt removed day, one.
Steel shell (rebar, not a roll, each bar placed separately, 10/21&10/22.
first inspection 10/24.
Concrete shell scheduled next week.
Week 3 concrete shell completed, along with plumbing.
Footings and tile this week.


We are farther along than other pools that have had active site for 30 days.

Difference is Fiesta family owned over 50 years, has their own guys, for pool, employees average 20 years and more with them.

i am currently using advanced pool design the owner is jerry and the salesman jake what a pleasant experience everyone has been great and unbeliveable i highly recomend 6 weeks in my pool is poured tiled plumping equipment in and at the stage of doing footings for screen enclosure very happy

I have friends that went with Fiesta. The only issue at the time was that they were not very knowledgeable with regards to automation - they didn't offer it, and when asked weren't up to date with the latest technology. They build a great basic pool. They also didn't even mention autofill/autodrain.

Here in Florida, autofill/autodrain are crucial. We get lots of evaporation in the summer, and the pool will fill to overflowing during the rainy season. Unless you want to monitor it and add water via a hose, or drain water via the pump, spend the $1K-$1.5K to get autofill and autodrain regardless of who installs your pool.

Automation can significantly reduce your power needs for the pool, especially if you have a heater. My VSP pump cost about $31/month to run at 100%, but costs less than $2/month to run at 40%. Your heater will need a minimum flow, so the pump has to run somewhere in the 75%-100% range to satisfy it. All other times the pump can run at 40%. Automation will tie everything together and when the heater kicks on will automatically ramp up the pump, and return it to low speed when heating is finished.

Fiesta offered us auto fill, and drain. Also had choice of remote controlled device, and different robotic cleaners. I will say there are plus and minus of auto fill. Two friends have auto fill, and had no idea that there was a leak, at first they thought their irrigation was the problem, took 6 weeks to figure out they had a bigger problem.

I am guessing those who rely on auto fill, travel during summers, then again why have a pool in Florida if one isn’t going to be here to enjoy it

That's great news that they are at least offering it now! If you have a leak, you'll hear your water running all the time. I didn't have autofill in GA, and hated dragging a hose out twice a week in summer, and then run water until the pool was back to the correct level. It sounds like an easy task, but gets tiring after a short time.

If you're really worried about a leak, it's easy to shut off the autofill overnight, or for a few days, and then turn it back on - certainly easier to fill the pool that way than with a hose. If you have a leak (I've had 3 pool installed over 40 years and never had a leak), you fix it, and then turn autofill back on.

We got quotes from 4 companies, 2 offered weep lines, for overfill, not sure if it’s as efficient. We are lucky our faucet will be inside cage and only 12’ away. We need to make our final decision on auto fill, but we are choosing the weep line. The remote is gigantic, so misplaced shouldn’t be an issue. But everyone quoting $2,000 to $3200 for a gigantic remote just seems ridiculous. If we had fire, multiple water and light features, maybe. But we only have room for a small pool 28’x 12 width angled out to 18’ at the deep end. Fiesta was middle of the quotes, T&D, premiere the 2 higher quotes

i highly reccomend advance pool design price was so reasonable compared to premier bluemoon and t&d not even close the workmanship is great the owner is great not one complaint end month on 29 will be 3 months since started just waiting for bird cage and finish coat on shell everything else done landscaping going in next week very happy

Just ended week 7, on Friday, birdcage being installed Monday. Completed date will be between week 8-9.

But it is a small pool 28’x12’ At steps, widening to 18’ at deep end.

Since it’s family owned, and all of their guys have been with them for 25 to 50 years.
