Primus of Wildwood has lost
The battle of Wildwood is heating up. A manufacturer of pipe with a planned 150,000 foot extension vs Twisted Oaks. Who will win? 1200 more homes or the pipe manufacturer? Or are the real losers Wildwood itself who has never figured out 462 and places traffic cops at the corners during peak movement? I’m sure it will come down to revenue for the city and the field dependent view of the town….lol.

The residential area was originally approved back in 2008. Site plans were approved last July and again this month. Construction could begin soon. There is some concern by Primus over whether the buffering is sufficient between the two properties but it seems like that should be on the residential developer and not the business that already exists in the area. Other than potential complaints by the residents about the noise, where is the conflict? How does either one lose? You did notice that this development is to the west of 301 and nowhere near the congested part of 462 with the traffic cops, right? |

You need to work on your geography. If you are referring to the church row just north of 466A where the traffic cops are stationed, that is EAST of 301 and is on the way from the Villages to Darrel's Diner. Primus and the open land for the new development is WEST of 301, across the street from Darrel's. |

We are overdeveloped in the surrounding communities already, we don't need more. The homes that are going up are of a cheaper, unattractive, and "project" style that adds absolutely no aesthetics to our area. These places attract low-income individuals that in turn bring an undesirable element and crime to an otherwise pristine area. These developers should be taken out and shot.

Who knows if the development will get approval to add a road that connects to 301 at that traffic light. They might, but it doesn't exist today. Without approval to tie into that light, traffic from the development will not be at the light, 462 near the proposed development does not come near the train tracks, and Primus and the proposed development referred to in this thread is not near the new Home Depot or the "ton of homes" currently being built on 462 or 466A. |
