Bowlers needed for Friday 3:30 league at Spanish Springs, and also Wednesday morning
 

The Belle Aire league needs bowlers, men and women. This is a mixed handicap league, and when possible the teams are shuffled so that all of the teams have similar team handicap. This makes for a lot of fun as the games tend to be very close.

The preliminary meeting for Belle Aire will be:
Opening Meeting is Fri., Aug. 18, with our starting date Aug. 25. The meeting will be Fri., Aug. 18 at Mulberry Rec Center at 3:00 PM, not the Bowling Alley.

Also, send me a PM if you are interested, my wife is the league secretary for both leagues, I do not post phone numbers or email addresses on open forums.

My wife just stated she could use 8 women for her league, on Wednesday morning at 9 am also at Spanish Springs lanes.

is this a bad bowlers league? 9 pin no tap?

No, all scores are based on true pin fall and handicap, if you do not have a handy cap, it is determined after several games (I forget the exact number). We have bowlers that barely make 100 and bowlers that average close to 200.
Because we shuffle the teams, the winning team last season had 2 bowlers in the 100 - 110 average and 2 bowlers in the 160 to 180 range.
It is really a fun league, and the most completive of the 3 to 4 leagues I bowl in.

If you are only interested in bad bowlers leagues, stop by the bowling alley and they have a list of available leagues.

Could someone explain what is meant by 9 pin gift? Also, what are the parameters of a bad bowlers league? I think I might fit.

9 pins down on the first roll is a strike.

You dont have to bowl badly to be in a bad bowlers league. We have plenty of 0 handicaps bowling (who often bowl 300 games with the 9 pin counting as a strike on the first ball).
Your handicap will be established and your scores will be normalized to 220 or whatever the leagues number is. So if my average is 150, my handicap is 70.

My 150 average in 9 pin no tap might really be 130 in villagetinkers league where I have to actually throw a strike to have it count.
