We're closing today!!!!
 

We are having our walk thru today at 2 PM. Then we close at 330 PM. Then we won't be homeless any more. We haven't had a home since Oct. 29.

Congratulations!!! We're scheduled to close on our home on Dec. 28 but we won't be full timers until we sell our house up here. Enjoy paradise!

I wish we could have been down there when we closed... but we will be there soon!

(this is an aside and not a hijack. We've only been back in sybericuse for a day and a half and already my brain has been warped. I interpreted "We are closing today" to mean another entity pulling the shutters due to the snow. first 4 feet while we were in TV and now another 2. sigh. February can't come soon enough.)

Thanks everyone. We had our walk-thru and then the closing. On the walk- thru, we had a couple of issues and the builder actually found a couple. We've got a whole year to find any others. We're leaving to go back to VA tomorrow, but will be back on the 21st. That's when the fun will begin.

After the closing, we took our girls down to see their new home. (they weren't impressed) Then we came back to our rental to get ready for the trip tomorrow. When we get back, we have to get our drivers license and auto registration switched so we can get the Homestead Exemption.
