Gutter underground drain problem
2 Attachment(s)
12 yrs ago the gutter company installed this underground corrugated pipe. Now, the above ground portion has rotted. Can it be fixed by replacing just a foot or so of new material? If not, do I have to call the gutter company to replace the pipe? It goes under the concrete walkway, plus about 10 feet to the emitter.

The big box stores have the drain pipe AND connectors (or splices) to connect new to old, all you need to do will be to dig out enough ground to get to solid pipe and splice away.

Thanks, folks. I'm going to use this piece from Lowes, like villagetinker suggested.

How would I go about posting a new post.?

Just a thought.
The damage does not look like deterioration from age. It looks like damage from a string trimmer. What ever you put in for a replacement I would purchase a small section of the same type pipe. Split it length wise then wrap it around the first foot or so of the pipe for additional protection. |

Plastic does not rot. That is physical damage.
