I would suggest going to "nest.com/works" and use their compatibility verification program.

ya, thanks....looking for some who has it in the villages, and installed it themselves maybe

You will need your AC company to install it or any other WiFi thermostat. Most AC companies do not like the Nest. There are better choices. We have been using the Honeywell WiFi unit in three different houses since 2014 with zero issues. Check it out. They cost about $100 (may have gone up).

It needs a "C" (common) wire whicj may depend on when your home was built.

Google for info on how to check.

South of 44 is compatible.

Had a Nest in my last villa in Pennecamp and had no trouble installing it myself.

When I bought my home in TV 2 years ago, I immediately took out the Honeywell that was in the house & put in a Nest. No problem wiring. Took me about 5 minutes.

It's all dependent on the type of heat/ac unit you have and whether you're comfortable doing that type of work. I did my own upgrade to Nest and I only had two wires going into the Carrier thermostat in the house. The colored wires were all set up at the air handler unit in the garage and then two wires came out of that.

Nest is a Google product, not an Amazon product and yes, it will work with your heat pump.

I have them installed in my Villages house and my primary house.
I love them, the app is easy to use. I had the professionally installed
I also have the cameras, so see everything from the app.

It works on both the Nest app and the google home app.

They used to have a home alarm product, but it was discontinued once google bought nest.

Amazon makes Ecobee, Google makes Nest. You will get better answers if you clarify your question.

Having said that, Ecobee works fine and several neighbors have a Nest. But, it depends on your furnace and air conditioner. A very few require their own thermostat and are not compatible with third party thermostats.

A few months ago I purchased the Google's NEST product and was going to install it myself. But after discussions with a Munn's technician, he said you needed 6 wires at your current thermostat and I only had 5 on the Honeywell. I ended up having them install a new wire and the thermostat for $650 including the thermostat/install. Love the product, app is easy to use.

Amazon doesn’t make Nest thermostats. Google does. Yes they work on all homes in TV.
