Bathroom pocket door
Question… I never use the pocket doors and today closed my bathroom door to keep the dog out after spraying some cleaner in the shower. Now the door is locked from the inside. Does anyone know how to open it? There’s what looks like a flat head screwdriver could turn it but doesn’t seem to work.

Probably stuck...
Pocket doors only "lock" from the inside. You have to turn the handle to engage the lock.
Ours often gets stuck. I believe (from the outside), if you lift and slide, you can disengage it from the wall hook. To avoid same issue arising in the future, always be sure the locking knob is seated inside the door panel before pulling it closed (or not close it all the way :p) |

I have these doors, really annoying. I get locked in and cannot get out and my other half takes a flat ended screw driver and turns the flat area until the door unlocks. I guess they are all different.

Our daughter opened it with a credit card, than it happened again with kids visiting so decided to take out locking mechanism.

Yes, they don’t have the latch plate adjusted right. Unscrew it and move it down a little bit until it unlocks when you turn the handle.

Interesting problem. We've been using our pocket doors, both in the bathroom and two closets regularly for 20 years and never had a problem. (I know this doesn't help, but thought I'd mention it anyway.)

I never lock the pocket door.
Figure the closed door is enough. Glad you’re able to open it easily. |

You are right about a flat head screw driver. Turn the screw 1/4 turn clockwise and it should open. They are very simple locks.
