Well, that's one thing I don't need to worry about.

I keep mine in a safe as I rarely wear it anymore. I take it out every so often and wear it a week or so, let it self wind, keep the moving parts lubed. Kind of a pain.

I own it but as with any property it owns me. The same goes for vehicles, homes, commercial real estate, pets, horses, farms, ranches, securities and other forms of property. They all need to be maintained.

Watch thefts?
 

I guess my Timex is safe...

I bought a beautiful one many years ago for husband. He smiled, admired it, praised it. It is still sitting on the same shelf he put it on years ago. He wears a Swiss watch.

I never felt the need to have things that I was going to need to worry about or lock away in a safe. It just seemed pointless to me.

Why would a thief bother to steal a Rolex?
Nothing special. We bought one at Marion Market for $10.
Keeps good time mind you.

No watch will be stolen on my watch as long as I am watching that watch. But watch out, as soon you stop watching that watch, which is not a stopwatch, that watch may be stolen from someone that was watching that watch.

I have owned it for over 30 years. It has sentimental value so I keep it and wear it occasionally. I customarily wore a watch until cellphones became ubiquitous and I starting keeping one at hand at all times.

My girlfriend’s husband passed. She had his Rolex refitted and she wears it all the time. On her other wrist she wears her Apple Watch, “to tell the time”.
