Put the dog down and spend the money on starving people

I wish I could foster her, she's darling. I am already fostering an 80 pound dog with medical needs or I would. I hope someone steps up.

I’ve heard that type of surgery (femoral) from Dr. Pol & it’s about as expensive as some surgeries that humans get nothing is cheap anymore!

Agree with help her go to doggie heaven, where there is no pain. If you can afford it, help feed the hungry. If money is tight, save it, you may need it.

Uneducated comments like this is why I like animals more than people. Prognosis for dogs is very good after the surgery. Let starving people get jobs.

You obviously didn’t comprehend the OP. The University of Florida Small Animal Hospital through a special grant will cover all the costs related to the surgery and recovery. You don’t seem to be an animal person so here is the scoop. The UF facility in Gainesville has a small and large animal facility that will put our 1 star Villages Hospital to shame, so demand for compassionate pet care is very real and in high demand. We have experienced their exceptional animal care twice with two of our pets about 7 years ago. Both most likely would have died, but today they are healthy and a joy to us every day, as are our 8 grandchildren. Personally I have met many many more humans that are distasteful than all the petsI have encountered. Should be plenty of money to take care of starving people if our country gets it’s priorities straight, so for me I will support both compassionately.
