1 Attachment(s)
At the Lady Lake Town Commission meeting held September 6, 2023, Mayor James Rietz issued a proclamation declaring September 17-23, 2023 as Constitution Week. This will be the 236th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Members of both Villages NSDAR chapters, Puc Puggy Chapter and John Bartram Chapter, were present to witness the ceremony. Regent Sylvia Walden, Puc Puggy Chapter, received the proclamation and encouraged all attending the meeting to ring a bell at 4:00 p.m. on September 17 in remembrance of this important historical event. Pictured here L-R are John Bartram Chapter Regent, Linda Fraser, Regent Sylvia Walden of Puc Puggy Chapter, and Mayor James Rietz.

Sure hope I hear many bells on September 17. What a great way to celebrate the founding of our constitution.
